The video explores the experience of losing one’s teeth, which is a recurring dream that has a very strong symbolic meaning. Teeth are associated with identity, control or self-perception, thus their loss can represent the feeling of being in a vulnerable position, in a moment of transition or the fear of losing control. Furthermore, their incessant loss and misplacement here symbolize how inevitable change is and the discomfort it can cause. The action of relentlessly trying to put the teeth back in their place stands for our need to cling to things that are slipping away from us, even if these things no longer fit and can bring us no good. Denial is far more damaging than acceptance, we should allow ourselves to let go instead of trying in vain to restore what is lost.
